Even though US Lacrosse supports the interchangeable use of hockey and lacrosse helmets for boys, we strongly suggest the purchase of a certified lacrosse helmet.
Also interchangeable at this level are boyshockey and lacrosse shoulder and elbow pads. Again, wherever possible, we support the purchase of certified lacrosse equipment.
Protective cups are required for boys who wear equipment.
Standard regulation size lacrosse sticks are also required equipment. Many of the heads on the youth sized sticks will not accomodate a standard lacrosse ball and we want the kids to get used to playing with standard equipment from the beginning.
