General Q & A

Q: What do I need??

Intro - sneakers and dress for the weather - bring a friend and get them involved. 

Girls grades 1 - 8 - Sneakers/cleats - Lax goggles/eyewear, stick and a mouth piece - Enjoy lax it is the only time girls will be cheaper than the boys. A lax bag makes life easier. 

Boys  grades 1 - 8 - Helmet, Shoulder pads, elbow pads, lacrosse gloves, sneaker/cleats, mouthpiece and protective cup highly recommended. A lax bag makes life easier. 

Q: Where do I get this stuff? 

By Car - Dicks, Blue Line West in Harrison, Sports Attic in Yorktown sells used equipment and Lax unlimited in Bronxville

Online - Amazon, Lacrosse Monkey, Lacrosse Unlimited, Lacrosse Fanatic.

Q: How can I be ready for the season?

A ball, a stick and a wall is the key to getting better. I grew up going to the tunnels at Memorial/Myrtle Park in Larchmont. (If you miss the ball it doesn't go far).

Q: What else should I keep in my bag?

Extra mouthpieces - they disappear like socks - buy a bunch of cheap ones on amazon. 

Q: Are there summer camps for lacrosse? 

Day camps - Westchester Predators, Team 91 Tristate, R2 girls  I think, Compass lacrosse - girls. Nike Lacrosse Camp @ Pace in Pleasantville

Sleep away - We have had success with X10. There is one in the adirondacks for boys and girls and around the country. You will see them in your lax magazine too. 

Q: Are there club teams?
 
Yes.  Many in the area - Tryouts are in June and July for next fall and winter. We will share them when we get info.
